The right front brake on my truck ('99 expedition) is bad. I am going to see my father in-law mechanic this weekend to fix it. How much damage can I do driving around? It is already making some pretty bad grinding noises. I already assume that I am going to replace the rotors.
Quit driving it until the weekend. You will have to replace the rotors anyway, but stay safe,avoid an accident.
will I do any damage to the calipers? I am not sure how much of the pads are left, but guessing by the sounds not much, I just dont want to buy new calipers.
Take off a wheel and look and call your father in law.
