The automatic door lock feature on my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee has gone haywire. 10 to 15 times a minute, the doors are locking & relocking. How can I disable this feature? If it takes shutting down the electric locks, that would be OK. It drives me nuts to drive it.
This is tied into the vehicle speed sensor operation. Is your speedometer working correctly?

I do have the manual, and it says this feature can be turned on or off by the dealer. I went to a dealer, and they looked at me like I was crazy. I’m looking for the details on how to turn it off.
Go to another dealer who knows what he’s talking about.
