Ask Someone: 1987 Nissan NX

I learn about timing belts with a car that my wife’s gave to us, a Hyundai accent with 168k plus miles, it was running bad so I asked about the timing belt and she was the original owner and it was never replaced. The metal has gone through the rubber, it was missing tooth and timing was off by two notches…it run like a champ for another 40k miles or so and I gave it away still running. I got a belt kit and took me a few hours to do it, but I liked the results. Very simple if someone wants to learn how to do it.
Good night.

But uh… If he wants to, I could use a new Bentley…

Changing a timing belt is a pain in a lot of ways but doable.
