07 Pontiac Grand Prix. 3.8 L. Anyone have any experience with getting a used engine sealed if has pits in it? Put a used engine in my car last year and the shop said it would probably only last me a year. Just curious if anyone has done this and how long they know a car has lasted after getting this done? It was the engine block to be exact.
Pitted engine block where? On the cylinder walls, deck surface? Main bearing saddles?

It’s due to die right about now? Line up a replacement.
I’m guessing the intake manifold sealing surfaces are pitted and maybe the heads where the intake mates up
There have to be tons of good quality 3.8 engines around instead of dealing with a bad one. Just don’t wear out and should be cheap.
