Alternator Issue

Hey guys I have a bit of an issue

About a week ago I bought a 1991 Mercury Capri (Not the turbo version). It ran fine for a couple days, and then the battery went out. I got the battery replaced and the alternator was diagnosed to be bad. The belt attached to the alternator snapped, so I replaced it, it still wont charge the battery, so I replaced the alternator and it still wont charge the battery. I don’t know what else it could be, the battery connections are clean and the wiring is fine.

Check if the 60 amp BTN fuse has blown.

I just replaced it, the issue is still happening

Start the engine, and using a multi meter, measure the voltage output from the alternator at the larger terminal on the back of the alternator.

if testing as tester said comes back with 0 volts, verify that there are not any battery cables or wires that were left off when the battery was swapped. I’ve seen this happen.

then you can check continuity between battery and alt on the power wires. perhaps a fusible link was blown?

Thanks guys I got it solved. Turns out the tensioner bolt was loose for the serpentine belt, and I replaced the 60 Amp fuse, everything seems to be good now. Thanks for yalls help!
