OK 1995 Buck Century…battery light camr on car died…jump start ok will not go more than 1/2 mile and stalls again.
Altenator or Battery???
Have battery and alternator checked for proper operation. Take your car to any of the carparts stores that test these items and they should be able to check them out on the car.
You may have to try and recharge your battery or put in a diffrent battery to be able to get it to the carparts store.
If these check out then you will have to check all battery and alternator connections for corrosion or looseness.
I agree, it could be either, but if the battery is flat dead it will probably have to be replaced anyway. Have the charged (if it will charge) and have the charging system tested.
