Airbag recall, GM

English is hard I know but just a quick scan led me to ask if it is the air bag for the driver or if it is the side airbag on the side of the driver? When cr or others write this stuff it should be clear as a bell.

Apparently, it is “hard”.
The sub-head on the article states…

The automaker will replace the driver’s-side front airbags in 2014-2017 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia

I have a question about this statement:

“General Motors expects to mail recall notification letters on June 26, 2023.”

Other than GM sending recall letters to owners of those cars, is it possible for the dashboard lights or gauge cluster information display to say a read-out like “Your car has XYZ recall, visit your dealer”, “You need to visit your dealer”, or a symbol to warn customers?

I know some cars do this.

Sure, it’s possible.
Is it likely?
Almost surely not.

I guess that would mean your car is connected to the internet and being tracked. With on star they waited until you hit the button and then they talked to you. Some thought they were listening in all the time anyway so who knows. Then there is your phone and Siri…
