I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey on which the air conditioner and heater sensor is acting screwy. Use to I could set it on 72 and it would be comfortable. Now if it is cold outside I have to set it on 63 or so or it will burn one up. When it is hot outside I have to set the thermostat as low as it will go or it will not cool. Took it in for service with a local non-Honda guy I trust and he couldn’t find the problem. What do you suggest?
The control knob is out of calibration.
Could be as simple as a cracked knob slipping where it attaches to the shaft of the actual control.
Does the knob pull off?
