is there any way I can disconnect the active fuel management on my 08 chevy silverado .
You might be able to do it with a custom ECU tune. But your warranty would go out the window if you did that. Why would you want to anyway?

Read through your owners’ manual carefully, but I doubt if it can be disbled and still keep the warranty intact. It’s one of the techniques that goes into raising fuel efficiency by the automaker to comply with CAFE requirements. If they allowed it to be disabled by the customer it might affect their being able to use it for the feds.
You want to disconnect it because it SOUNDS LIKE CRAP???
