my car sputters or hiccups while using the passing gear under hard acceleration. any advice? i suspect it may need some new ignition components

How many miles on your Accord, auto or manual, when was the last time you replaced the air filter, fuel filter, plugs and wires? How long have you owned the car?

How many miles do you have on the odometer?
When was the last time that you had basic maintenance done–as per the mfr’s maintenance schedule?
Before you look for a specific cause, bring the car’s maintenance up to date.
