AC Repairs

She has 170K+ miles - most highway. She is getting on in years and the AC blower has stopped. Its 104 in Dallas and I need some relief. Is a rebuilt blower motor a good option?

Sure.

If there’s a lot of labor associated with changing the blower motor on this car, you might consider investing in a higher quality part. There’s some cars where you really have to tear apart the dashboard to get at it. But if the motor is easily accessible, this is probably a 5-10 minute job and a rebuilt one should be fine.

When you live in 104 degree heat, why pinch pennies? I would opt for a new blower motor. The price difference can’t be that much.
