Do the HVAC control algorithms use a different compressor duty cycle when in defrost mode, allowing the compressor to stay on all or most of the time (longer than the normal A/C mode) when the defrost mode is selected to remove moisture from the interior of the vehicle.
No. The compressor cycles on and off according to pressure within the AC system. It doesn’t matter whether you’re cooling or dehumidifying.
