ABS breaks pinging at low speeds

My ABS breaks have been going off frequently when I’m moving at low speeds, espcially when I’m doing a sharp turn or when I’m reversing. I’ve had my breaks checked and they are fine. I read on the internet that it might be that the front wheel speed sensors need to be cleaned. Any thoughts?

That may be true. It could also be that the ABS is just doing its job. Most ABS are designed to disengage at low speeds because during low speed maneauvers each tire will be turning at a different speed, and the differences can be drastic enough to trip an ABS response. Maybe the ABS is malfunctioning and forgetting to quit at low speed.

Go ahead and pull the wheels off and clean the wheel sensors and the sensor rings with brake cleaner. See if that solves the problem.
