Our Audi A6 sputters and jumps like it is going to die when in reverse. It never dies… anyone have a clue what may be going on??
Try starting the engine and while it’s idling, tug on electrical wiring harnesses and vacuum lines to see if you can the engine to do this. It could be that when the tranny is put into reverse, the torque imposed on the engine from the drive train causes the engine to twist in the opposite direction from when it’s put into the forward gears.
