This is one of 4 identical cars used in the film.
The noise inside the passenger cabin must be–literally–deafening.
I still think the goofy military rigs from the Christian bale movies were a bit excessive.
Tachometer goes to 16? And where’s Robin going to sit?
x1000 … my car redlines at 7000.
I don’t think Robin is involved in this one, in the tv series they gave Adam West a stunt double and told Burt Ward to strap in and hold on. Heard a recent interview with Burt Ward who shared that little tidbit.
Uh, yeah Tom, I didn’t think the engine maxed out at 16 RPM.
16 THOUSAND RPM though, I think that’s equally unlikely.
Why ?
Formula 1 engines reach 20,000 rpm all the time.
I did not know that.
There are street motorcycles that can rev to 16,000 rpm… F1 limits engines to 19,000 now… to save money!
I’m aware that F1 cars hit 16K plus regularly. Nobody said this is an F1 car, it’s a Batmobile.
Old fart, loving the original batmobile with the afterburner!
Since this is a movie…the real max RPM could easily be 5,000 rpm. You’ll never know.
The real one wasn’t that excessive.
