By applying modern technology and fuel injection to their 1930s engine design, they claim to be compliant with current emissions standards. I’m assuming that very low production numbers allow them to escape having to comply with modern safety standards.
That, and they likely have relaxed emissions standards for small manufacturing in Great Britain. I doubt they’ll qualify here, though.
As long as they skip air conditioning which is not allowed in Britain, but who would want one of these?
Where did you get that idea? Yes, there are some restrictions regarding the installation of A/C in historic/older buildings, but there are no restrictions whatsoever regarding A/C in cars.
If I had a place to keep it I would be a buyer . Depending on the price of course.
I clicked on a few of the cars and the brochure repeatedly mentions production is limited to 25 cars
Read the fine print. It’s for the good of the community but check with your local planning committee. Houses not cars.
Nothing there about a/c being banned in houses. Regulated, yes, as most things are in GB.

Yeah it was sarc. Based on people getting arrested for using AC. Should have included 
or something to show my disgust at how far they have fallen. Saw an interview with a British pol that explained how and why it happened.
I have to wonder about your “news” sources. While some have been threatened with fines, nobody has been arrested in the UK because of using A/C.

I haven’t been there in many years but even back then the power was cut at 10 and came back on again at about 5. No body complained about a dark hotel room when they figured respectable people should be asleep. At the sons apartment he didn’t have a tv license and the trucks would roll around searching for signals like the Germans used to do to locate illegal radios. The kid had to make sure he fed the meter before a shower or the powder would go off mid shower. Then all the guns are stored at the police station for safe keeping to be checked out if you had a good reason. Clearly not a population that would make a good war partner again. Interesting comments from the folks visiting for the World Cup who do not want to go back.
