Once only had a critter under the hood. I was driving off in the snow, heard a big thunk from the engine area, I thought something wrong with the engine or trans. I stopped. A siamese cat behind me in the road abd snow, gash on her head probably from the fan. Took her to thee vet, and she healed fine. I have never lifted the hood to check for critters.
