I drive a 2000 Silverado and the problem I have is my a/c quits blowing cold air while going down the road. It seems like the compressor stops and can hit a passing gear and it comes back on. Ive change out the pressure switch and checked the freon level but still no luck. Any suggestions?
you need to give more info.
the AC quits? does the temperature go up, of does the fan stop blowing?
when you say you changed the pressure switch, which switch, how?
and you checked the freon, how? and what did you check it with? a gauge or did you just let some blow out?
it sounds like a job for an AC radiator shop to me.
What does check the freon level mean?
The first step is knowing both the high and low side pressures.
