this is a re-submission of an earlier question concerning a/c on my 2000 honda crv (159+k miles). A/C falters as engine begins lunging slightly accompanied by rising temp gauge. Engine and engine temp do fine when I drive without a/c. I’m hoping its just a fan belt… any suggestions as I wait to hear from the mechanic?
Make sure the radiator cooling fans are operative with the AC on. If they’re not, the high side pressure will spike upwards and this could cause a lunging feeling with the AC on.
