Once some strange noise coming out - so a quick fix was to just to cut the belt and be w/o the AC - it is a Freon based system running off a 1.6 liter engine. This car lately does 2-3k miles per yr.
My spouse doesn’t handle heat well - she needs AC on hot days.
Does this Car has a second chance with an ac - what would it cost me - would it be cold enough?
I am considering upgrading the car just because of AC - thinking that the later model cars will have a decent AC - even if I fix it with new components, not sure how effective the AC is given the age and the engine which is only 1.6 liter.
Any recommendations.
