A-body molded carpet fit

Hello,

I recently replaced the carpet in my 69 dodge dart GT. I managed to get the back to lay pretty nicely but the most important area by the drives feet is not laying well at all.

I have not trimmed up the front yet, and am debating repulling my bucket seats out and trying reseat the front carpet. Im worried that if I move the front up like it seems to need, that there will be a gap between front and back.

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys

Use a heat gun to get the carpet to lay flat and mold it into the floor.

My heat gun would set the carpet on fire…Upholstery shops use a steam hose for “final fitting”…
