I have a 99 automatic beetle and out of nowhere it won’t get out of parking to drive because it says I’m not pressing the brake what could this be ??
Have someone check you brake lights to see if they come on when you hit the brake pedal. If they do not, the switch on the pedal is not working and not closing the circuit letting the computer know the pedal is depressed. Relatively easy to fix, not an unusual item to fix at that age of car.
