I want to change a damaged serpentine belt on a 98 chevy malibu with 3100sfi 6 cyl engine. Looks like I need to loosen engine mount on passenger side and lower the engine slightly to slip the new belt in. Is the correct? How much torque on the mounting bolts when I reinstall? Should I support the motor with a floor jack and how musch can it sag without harm?
Are you sure about that?
Doesn’t this vehicle have a belt tensioner pulley?
