If in cold weather (40 or lower)you start our Jeep and drive under 20 minutes, the car will not restart unless you jump up and down and beat on the gear shift (automatic). If you get in the car and drive 20 minutes or longer there does not seem to be a problem with restarting the car.
If it is not starting because the gear shift interlock is keeping it from starting (can you turn the key?) then it is likely a bad switch or an adjustment.
If that’s what you’re doin’ you might want to put a chimp in place as that will look more normal.
