94 Chevy Suburban Coolant

Recently, my suburban’s heating core was corroded by the antifreeze. Now antifreeze leaks not only under the car but into the cabin. To replace the heating core, I need to drain the cooling system. How do i do this?

There should be a drain on the bottom of the radiator.

If you can’t find it or it is impossible to get to you can always pull off the lower radiator hose to drain the coolant.

If the coolant is really corosive then you need to flush the system as well.

I suppose you want to save the $18 for the Chilton’s or Haynes manual? It would make the job so much easier and quicker. If the heater core has corroded through, can the radiator be far behind?
