is it leaking from seal gone out in speedometer cable
The seal didn’t go out at the speedometer, but instead the seal went out where the speedometer cable screws into the transmission. Unscrew the cable from the transmission, install a new O-ring, and the wifes shoes will stay dry.

its hydralic gear oil ,ive read something lately that seal could be broken from speedometer cable and its leaking there .
