what is the fireing sequence on a 4 cylender to time my car?

On almost all 4 cylinder engines the spark timing (firing order is 1, 3, 4, 2. #1 is always at the front of the engine, where the belt(s) drive the A/C, alternator, etc. Click on this page from Auto Zone web site http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/16/a1/21/0900823d8016a121.jsp

“firing order is 1, 3, 4, 1”

The #2 cylinder must get pretty bored.

:-))

However, you have to bear in mind that this is the firing order on a Nisson. Nissans, on the other hand, have a more conventional firing order.

Try this.

I thought 1,3,4,1 was the Fireing order for a 4 cylender. I now see it applies to the Nisson as well. Thanks for the update.
