i have a 307 crank and a 350 block, and from what i have heard from people online i could make a 327 small block. I am a hobby stock driver for IMCA and i have found that a 327 or a 289 would be a perfect motor for a dirt track. is it true what i’ve heard about this online?
excuse me a 286 not a 289
What makes the number 327 perfect?
IMCA hobby stock rules state “Stroke must match block”. They want it to be simple and afordable. This rule would prevent a racer from stoking the engine to the maximum allowed displacement but your idea would also violate this rule.
