I posted a similar question a while back, and got some answers, but I don’t think i knew enough to, now that I have removed the harmonic balancer, I do. The problem with reinstalling the harmonic balancer is that i can’t use a threaded installation tool because there the end of the crankshaft is not threaded. So the standard installation tool will not work for me. I’ve read a few ways, pounding it on, which i know will probably cause damage, then there’s soaking it in hot oil or water for it to expand, and lastly, drilling and threading the end of the crankshaft. Any advice?
