2022 Camry Bumper Clip Broke

Hit a large pothole today and the bottom of my car hit the ground causing the bumper to get knocked out out bit. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the fender liner was out of place and that a plastic part of the bumper clip snapped. Any ideas to fix it or do I need an entirely new bumper?

Try aligning the square hole on the bumper with the plastic clip, which may require to be turned slightly, and smack the bumper with your open hand and see if the bumper locks back onto the clip.

Check out Youtube for various plastic welding ideas. It will likely mean removing the bumper cover to do a decent job. But I certainly wouldn’t get a whole new cover just for something like that.

Or set it where is needs to be and drill a hole and zip tie that sucker together…

Has anyone checked your tire, wheel, and suspension for damage? I’d be concerned about that if the pothole was that large.

Show the photo to your dealership’s parts department, they may have the necessary replacement parts in stock.Or know of some commonly used work-arounds. Be aware that problems in this area may cause other symptoms, like w/the collision avoidance system, etc.

Knucklehead diyer opinion, Toyota owner, but no Camry experience.
