stop/start does not work with climate button on.
Just a guess, that feature might be automatically disabled if the computer thinks the battery isn’t fully charged. Ask your shop to check the battery/charging system condition. Or you could just think yourself lucky; some folks here ask the forum how to turn that feature off on their car; they find it annoying.
Great! I’m sure everyone who is annoyed with the stop start feature will be happy something this simple defeats that stupid feature.
Is that with the AC turned on?

There are certain parameters that cause the auto start not to function. For example the battery charge must be high enough or the function is disabled. If the A.C. is on and the cabin isn’t at a comfortable temperature it will not operate. Same as if the heater is on and the cabin isn’t warm enough.
Good riddance to a bad device.
