Unfortunately, I live in Salt Lake City and the next closest dealership is 5 hours away in Boise, ID.
And, I haven’t hit a wall yet, but they’re preparing to go down that route. The service manager himself is driving the car today. This is after I downloaded the Volvo On-Call driving log info to prove that none of the service techs had driven the car on the freeway for more than a few minutes (and the vibration in my car seems more pronounced after the vehicle is fully warmed up - 25-30 mins or so in.)
So, we’ll see. I have connection into the head of the Consumer Protection Division, which adjudicates the state’s lemon law, as well as Consumer Reports (they co-sponsored legislation I was working on this year in California.)
If I have to rumble as much as my car, I will.
Would you be willing to speak with Consumer Reports about your experience? I am talking to them next week and would like to provide some other names and emails for folks who had the same problem. Feel free to email me if you’re interested - ritchard@gmail.com

Have you driven other XC60s? Do they all do that? If not, ask the dealership for a test ride in an equivalent XC60 to yours and see if it vibrates.
I also checked at safercar.gov to seeing here are any complaints like yours, and there are not. There are manufacturer’s communications for suspension and tire issues that you might look at, then ask the dealer whether these communications apply to your car.
Tires manufacturer’s communication: TJ33867-1-1-2018, radial force variation creating excessive runout
Suspension manufacturer’s communication: R19931-2019-03-2, strut quality
I purchased a 2020 XC60 R Design. The same problem. I get to 110 km/hr (approx. 65 mph) (I live in Canada) and a slight vibration can begin. More noticeable at 125. It is also more noticeable on curves and if the road is sloped slightly to the left and/or uphill or downhill. It feels like it is coming from the back right. Two trips to the dealership for 2 days and 3 days have brought no change. They have focused only on tires and balancing.
hi barbara
would you mind sending me the dealer information that has your drive shafts changed? Apparenty volvo is trying to play games . I just need the dealer name so that i can have my dealer speak to them.
any luck in getting the vibration problem solved? I live in canada too.
ritchard, any luck in fixing the vibration? I have a 2018 XC60 which vibrates like mad between 110 and 120 km/h . volvo is playing hide and seek with me still not acknowledging the problem
When I put on winter snow tires the vibration went away. The summer tires are 21" low profile Perelli’s . The dealer say they found a flaw on the inside of one of the summer tires when they went to re-install them for the summer and replaced the tire. I have not had a chance to highway test it yet. Here is hoping
ok. Well i have a aftermarket winters on rims and the vibration happens on winters too. Keep me posted on if you still find the vibration as it is summer right now.
Thanks
Will do, I am not 100% certain it is solved. Do you have the same model XC 60?
Yes I have the 2018 XC60 bought in June 2018 I also have the polestar software upgrade and it is quite evident and vibration is more pronounced in polestar mode . Ridiculous for a car with a price tag of 70K. I have decided nio more volvos in my life after this one.
Bharath
I get it! For this kind of issue I expected Volvo to be more proactive . Same as you 2020 polstar R design
