2018 Kia Sorento - Turn signal messes up lights

when driving at night and using turn signal, the lights will go off. I have to jiggle the turn signal to get them back on. However, the other night, no turn signal used and lights went off. I had to turn lights on and off to get them working again. This was random, but now happening more often.

If turn signal set by same lever as headlights on/off, that’s same config as my Corolla, and pretty good chance that entire ass’y needs replacing. Not an uncommon problem reported here. On my Corolla requires removing steering wheel, not a simple diy’er job.
