brand new battery in jan.2024 and 4 times it has gone completely dead dealer had it for a total of 5 days and could not find anything wrong with drawdown test
How often do you drive the car and how far each time?
No offense intended . . . are you sure nobody in your household is perhaps turning on a reading- or dome light while sitting in the driveway and then forgetting to turn it off?
My brother’s family has had several dead batteries over the years and that is one of the many reasons
They also have a habit of leaving devices plugged into cigarette lighters and power ports . . . some of which are hot 24/7 even with the ignition key in the off position and the key removed
fyi . . . I’ve verified with a dmm that even the small LEDs on those usb charging adapters can draw enough current to kill your battery over the course of several days
If the above post is not happening then:
Sometimes you just get a defective/bad battery, has this brand new battery been warrantied out yet?? Just because Auto Zone test says it is good, does not always mean it is good…
With a fully charged battery, turn on your headlights for 15 minutes, after the 15 minutes, see if it will start… It should have a longer reserve than that, if it fails to start, replace it… Or buy/use a battery load test and test the battery…
Again, did they test the battery current sensor?
battery voltage first thing in the am, before starting engine? then after starting, idle rpm?
