I have same issue. the small connector on the ECU seems loose, I disconnect the battery, remove the connector, disconnect the battery, reconnect the connector use a small strap to tighten it down, reconnect the battery, the lights stay out for about a week and came back. Will try to clean out the pins next, may be there is moisture/dirt/grim causing it not to make good contact
Welcome to the forum, you have been redirected to car talk and we don’t know who you are responding to, so please give us more detail like which engine you have and what lights? check engine lights? if so then what are the code(s)?? and why are you unplugging the ecu??
