On 2016 Ford Explorer has a temperature message that flashes on for a split few seconds. Temperature Excessive or something like that. Dealership said they needed to see message but doesn"t last. What could it be?
Could be transmission temperature. Likely you have a coolant temperature gauge on your dash. When that message flashes, look at the coolant temp gauge and see if is up in the yellow or red zones. Stop and write the message down before it goes away show that to your dealer.
Or you could look in your owners manual to find out the various warning messages the car tells you.
