Then you’ll need to get it replaced, at your expense, and it won’t be cheap.

How would we know? Has it BEEN hot? How hot? You don’t say.

It was about 90. Did some on line research, seems that there are a lot of folks with this issue. More of a system problem than my isolated event. Anyway, Caddy has been very little help so far

Since the car is out of warranty, Cadillac has no obligation to you at this point. I don’t know what “help” you expect.
The dealer can’t help you. If you want to pursue it, contact Cadillac directly. You could try sweet talking them, but that probably won’t work. Maybe get them to send a replacement gratis to the dealer and then the dealer installs it.

There is a class action lawsuit out there, I should look into replacing the screen, I don’t need a new one, looks like maybe $150 part if you are really handy.
