We have TWO VW Jetta’s, bought within 4 days of each other in 2015. BOTH within 3 months have blown suspension springs. One has 40K miles, the other has 62. We are both retired, do not abuse our cars. In 45 years of owning cars, this has never happened even to our junkers when things werent so prosperous.
What does that mean? Are your struts leaking?

No, the spring broke in my driver side rear and a piece fell out.
The spring broke and a piece fell out. We can see it.
