I am concerned I might be developing a transmission issue on my 2015 Subaru Impreza. The last few days as I start to accelerate there is a noticeable premature hard shift into 2nd gear from a full stop. the weird thing is this does not occur when setting the shifter to M and using the steering wheel paddles. Any ideas?
2nd gear in a CVT?
Whatever is going on here will almost certainly require a Subaru dealer.

I mean it doesn’t technically have Gears but there is a digital shifter with set ratios that simulates manual
Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition??
Has the fluid ever been changed? Have it changed at a shop that will use the factory fluid.
