Truck wouldn’t crank. Replaced battery ans still won’t crank, but will start when jumped with another car. Strange. Am I missing anything? Check several ignition related fuses and none bad. Any suggestions?
the battery you put in was not fully charged up. that is why it started with a jump start. you need to charge it up. also make sure everything is clean and tight.

Very likely, if sitting on a shelf in a store, should be charged prior to installation.

Start at the beginning. Did you jump using positive and the frame or grounding point? if so check out the negative connection on the battery and frame.

Also clean and tighter all connections between battery and cables, between cable and ground and between cable and starter.
Did you check the voltage of the new battery. Voltmeters can be very inexpensive.
