A week ago, 20 miles into a 120 mile trip, the instrument cluster on my 2-1/2 year old F-150 started flashing a “Brake Fluid Low” warning message. After about 30 seconds, the warning message stopped and I continued driving knowing there was an auto parts store a couple of miles up the road. After a minute or two, the warning started flashing again along with the entire GPS display. At this point, I decided to pull off the road and was able to pull off just before the vehicle’s power completely shut down. After about 30 minutes, I was able to restart the vehicle and drive to the nearest Ford dealer. The computer test indicated a bad battery current sensor which was removed and replaced. I have only driven the vehicle about 30 miles since getting it back and the issue has not repeated itself. Is this something I need to be concerned with happening again? I would not want to have this happen while driving on a 75 mph major highway.
