My car battery (size 47) has died and my model can fit a size 47 or 48 battery. The owners manual recommends the gas models use size 47 but for the diesel model the size 48 battery is recommended. Both batteries are the same height and my battery caddy can also hold the size 48. I have the gas model but I’d like to put in the 48 because of its larger charge capacity. It does weight another 10lbs. Is there a good reason I should not put in the larger 48 battery?
