Hello, my brand new honda was recently involved in a really bad accident. It was in the shop for almost 2 months and had issues everywhere because I was t-boned. I just got it back a few weeks ago and recently it started to make a humming or ringing sound as i accelerate and start to slow down. You can even feel a slight vibration on my gas pedal and its making me very concerned since it was completely quiet prior to the accident. Thoughts? I would probably take it back to the shop that fixed it considering this would be their issue since they fixed it improperly and the length it took to fix was ridiculous.
What did your insurance company have to say about repairing this car?
They paid out almost $15,000 to the shop and we paid $500 deductible.

Was there any discussion of declaring it totalled?
Vibrations that become noticeable on acceleration but go away soon after you take your foot off the gas – if that describes the symptom you are having – are often in the final stages of the driveline; i.e the CV joint, axel, tripod joint, or, less likely, transmission. The axel and the two joints have to accommodate the dimensional changes that occur in the suspension system when turning, going over bumps, accelerating, braking, etc. But they can only accommodate so much. If they hit their limit, a vibration could result. There may have been some repairs to the suspension system that have left the car not within the dimensional specs for the axels and joints to work correctly, that’d be my guess. It’s pretty much impossible though to diagnose this via the internet. An expert is going to have to take some test drives, put it up on the rack and run it through the paces, etc.
