It will run until the exact time you need it the most… The hottest day on record or the coldest.

Can confirm. I am a professional HVAC technician, and this is usually when an old, tired air conditioner quits. They seldom seem to break when it’s relatively mild outside.

It’s a Chrysler,probably more like 2.33 hours if you’re lucky.

Have you ever changed the cabin filter in the van ? If not it is probably thoroughly clogged and you burned out the motor .

That’s bass ackwards.

The less air a fan draws, the lower the amp draw on the motor.

That’s because if the fan is drawing less air, the less work the motor has to do.

This can be demonstrated by blocking the inlet hose of a vacuum cleaner.

The fan motor speeds up because the fan isn’t pumping any air.

Doesn’t air rushing past the motor help cool it though? Or is it cooled another way?

No air, the fan pumps nothing, the motor isn’t doing any work, motor draws very little current, no heat, nothing to cool.

Old cars have a hose from the HVAC housing to the motor housing for ventilation, air pressure from the HVAC housing cools the motor.

Newer vehicles have a built-in cooling duct.
