my toyota highlander is 4 cylinder 2.7 liter is burning oil at least 1 liter every 2000 km…no leaks and oil drops in my garage…what causes it…my odometer is 140,000 km.

A liter every 2000 km is not excessive. All engines use oil. Some a little, some a lot. And most use more as they get older and accrue more miles.
If you don’t know how to check your own oil level, open your owners manual and read how. And then check you oil, regularly! At least every 1000 km or better at every petrol fill-up. If you don’t and just drive 7500 to 10,000 km between oil changes, you WILL run your engine out of oil and destroy it!
