2013 Scion FR-S burned out clutch

my husband’s 2013 FRS has a burned out clutch. Toyota Service in Louisville KY mentions slave cylinder, master cylinder…low figure over $1500. High figure $2385. Help.

Get several estimates, then take it to the place of your choosing. an independent mechanic will be cheaper than a dealership most of the time

Depends on what is burned up… If it can be used or needs replacing. Seems about the right price. Agree with @pyrolord314 Call around, any competent mechanic can do this. It IS a lot of work, though, that’s why it is so expensive.

What ever the problem is it is almost criminal to charge the much if you bought the parts and I would just replace the clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing I could almost guarantee half any shops price pluse cost of fuel for travel or I can haul to my shop for the cost of fuel and can pick up your self or have me return it for the same the slave cylinder is most likely ok easy enough to check
