service shifter light soon came on for a second then went out
I have found this on another site . you can try it to see if it helps…
people have reported its possible the main connector under the driver side rail has moisture in it. Pulling apart, drying, cleaning and putting dielectric grease typically will fix it.
I wonder what problem has to be detected for that light to turn on? Does it refer to the gear shift lever on an automatic trans? Manual trans? Unrelated to shifting gears?
