My backup camera does not work and has not worked for some time. The screen is black with just lines on it. How expensive would this be to fix? Is it worth getting an additional warranty on my car for @$3000 which would last until my 100,000 warranty is up in order to get this fixed?
The price of repair will most likely come from the dealer because it has to be looked at .
And buying a 3000.00 warranty on a 6 year old vehicle is a waste of money.

Spend that $3000 on future repair and not on a warranty.

The dash unit may need to be replaced. You can check with an aftermarket shop that installs these systems and compare it to dealer prices.
