Thanks for the tip! I had sprayed WD-40 and no luck; this time I used a lubricant I use for my garage door. No luck, it does open when I repeatedly press the unlock button of the remote, but I have to do this every time. The car was just in the body shop for a repair and they had to change the driver’s side door; and this issue started. Well, just today my wife notices that the driver’s door does not lock or unlock, only with the key. Would this affect the tailgate mechanism? We are taking it back Monday to get this repaired. Perhaps the tailgate switch is bad, and not the actuator.
