I use it on plug/coil boots, sway bar bushings, and some brake hardware
Here’s a good one . . . I bought a lightbulb at autozone, and the guy wanted to sell me fuel cleaner . . . that IMO opinion useless junk that you add to the tank during the next fill-up
Yeah…those people are “Pre-Programmed” to spew other possible impulse buys while you are at the register. The profit margin on most of those items right next to the register is usually big… its no wonder they program the people to ask if they need some of those things.
Personally I would NOT ask people who look like they know what they are doing…its almost a little insulting when they do it. I have a special look and smile reserved for their stupid questions when I’m not in the mood. Many times you are forced to ask them why they asked you what they asked you… Like why on earth are you asking me about “Bulb Grease” when I have a counter full of struts n springs for example ? Its laughable and annoying.
Unfortunately, I think the counter monkeys are REQUIRED to try to upsell those items next to the cash register
They’re also REALLY confused when I buy an oil filter, but no oil. They have a perplexed look on their face and ask if I need oil. I always tell them “No thanks, I’ve got plenty of oil at home.” That’s because I stock up on engine oil, when it’s on sale at Costco.
